Fake profiles on the web

Abstract
In order to analyze the phenomenon of false profiles, a questionnaire of 15 questions was applied, in Google format to 75 subjects, 50 women (66.6%) and 25 men (33.3%). The sample had an average age of 31.8 years. The areas of information were: meaning of the alias, characteristics of the profile, reasons for having a false profile, uses of the profile, differences and similarities between the real profile and the false one, social networks in which the profile operates, popularity of the profile and benefits and problems to have a false profile. Having a false profile brings advantages such as being able to communicate more freely, contacting people with similar interests and being able to express themselves and contact in a way that in the real profile would be impossible, while some disadvantages are that one can be discovered in an activity of risk and that some psychological affectation.
