Abstract

The book to be described in these pages participates in an interest that different disciplines have had in recent years: the role of the bodily senses in social reality. Take this review as an invitation to read this text, which, in general terms, has valuable arguments to be considered by those who have decided to make the social sciences and humanities their fields of reflection. It is from the title that the coordinators, Ana Lidia M. Domínguez Ruiz and Antonio Zirión Pérez, make explicit what they want to achieve with the book: a Mexican contribution to the sensory turn. With this they are given the task of mentioning, in a general way, disciplines, authors and theoretical assumptions that have influenced and / or participated in the conformation of sensory studies.
